Zviad Sichinava, president of Georgian Football Federation, used the deadline of sending a confirmation letter to General Secretariate of GFF for a presidential elections which will be held on January 22. The mentioned time was expiring at 18:00 on Wednesday. He presented his letter to Revaz Shengelia, head of secretariate, at 17:40.
Executive committee fixed the date of the elections on December 15, 2010. 33 electoral subjects had a right to present presidential candidates. 20 subjects presented Zviad Sichinava as their candidature. It is known that other 13 electoral subjects also support current president.
Sichinava who will not have an opponent in the elections, will run the federation till 2015.
