Last year Viktor Sanikidze participated in All-Star Game of Italian Serie A. The game was unsuccessful for him (Viktor got injured) but a new paper was written in history of Georgian basketball. This year Giorgi Shermadini will compete in All-Star Game. On March 11, center of “Bennet Cantu” will represent Georgia in “All-Star”.

Legionaries of Italian League will play against local basketball players in All-Star Game. According to the survey, only Americans got in the main staff and they will represent only two (!) clubs.

Jumaine Jones, member of “Scavolini”, received most of the votes (14 585). The following basketball players are coming after him: Linton Johnson (“Avellino”), Ricky Hickman (“Scavolini”), Marques Green (“Avellino”) and James White (“Scavolini”). Management of Italian League named other seven members of the legionaries’ team along with Andrea Trinchieri (head coach of “Bennet Cantu”) who will coach the team.

Besides Giorgi, the following basketball players will play for the legionaries’ team: Lester Bo McCalebb (“Montepaschi Siena”), Travis Diener (“Banco Di Sardegna Sassari”), Aubrey Coleman (“Angelico Biella”), Chris Douglas-Roberts (“Canadian Solar Bologna”), Antonis Fotsis (“Emporio Armani”) and Andre Smith (“Otto Caserta”).

As for Italian club of Serie A, Simone Pianigiani (head coach of “Montepaschi”) will coach it. The following basketball player will play for this team: Pietro Aradori (“Montepaschi”), Daniele Cavaliero (“Scavolini”), David Chiotti (“Casale”), Andrea Cinciarini (“Bennet Cantu”), Gino Cuccarolo (“Benetton”), Marco Cusin (“Scavolini”), Luigi Datome (“Roma”), Andrea De Nicolao (“Benetton”), Alessandro Gentile (“Milano”), Angelo Gigli (“Bologna”), Daniel Hackett (“Scavolini”), Stefano Mancinelli (“Milano”), Nicolo Melli (“Milano”) and Giuseppe Poeta (“Bologna”).

“All-Star” will be held on March 11 and “Adriatic Arena” Pesaro will host it. The game will start at 20:15 Tbilisi time and Italian TV Channel LA7 will broadcast live.
