Giorgi Shermadini had a perfect debut in “Maccabi” Tel-Aviv. The Jewish club lost both two games at the international tournament in Germany but the center of the Georgian national team played well.

Besides “Maccabi”, German “Bamberg”, Russian “Khimki” and Greek “Olympiacos” are competing in the tournament which is under way in Nuremberg. On the first day “Maccabi” played against “Khimki” and lost 60:80. Shermadini earned 15 points (4 from 5 2 points, 7 from 8 free throws), 7 rebounds and 2 block-shots. He was the best in his team.

In the second game the Jewish team played against host “Bamberg” and lost 70:77. Polish Logan (16), Azerbaijani Caner-Medley (11) and Jewish Eliyahu (12) were the best from “Maccabi”. Shermadini earned 10 points.

In the last game “Maccabi” will play against “Olympiacos” which has already celebrated two victories. The Greeks defeated “Bamberg” 96:81 and “Khimki” 96:86.
