“Olimpija” of Giorgi Shermadini and Vladimir Boisa held the last home match of Europeleague Top-16. “Olimpija” played against “Lottomatica” Roma which beat with one point difference in Italy. Now, “Olimpija” lost 76:87.
“Olimpija” was considered as favorite and won the first half 41:37 but lost the 3rd quarter (14:28). In spite of great attempt, the club could not manage to win the match.
Shermadini was in the main staff of “Olimpija” and finally, his coefficient (14) was only behind Kenny Gregory (19).
Giorgi scored all 4 2-point and 2 penalties. He collected 10 points, 5 rebounds and 3 turnovers. Shermadini lost the ball 3 times, received 4 personal fouls and 3 fouls were committed against him.
Boisa played during 16:18 minutes. He scored one rebound-assist and committed 2 fouls. Vova did not attack the basket but played in defence well.
Nenad Djedovic (“Lottomatica”) earned 20 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 turnovers within 33:55 minutes. Five fouls were committed against him.
After this loss, “Olimpija” is in the last place in Group F and perhaps, the club will end up the tournament this way. On March 3, “Olimpija” will hold a match against “Barcelona” Catalonia.
