Georgian National Team won the second match in division B of European U-20 Championship, this time it beat Macedonia (87:75). 19-year-old Tornike Shengelia again played big role in success of Georgian U-20 Team.
Georgian team gained 87 points and Shengelia scored 40, which is point more than his last result. Besides scoring points Shengelia rebounded 16 (4 in attack and 12 in defense) and became author of double twice.
Tornike Shengelia scored 13 two- point kick from 17, one three-point kick from 5 and 11 penalty kick from 12. After the match against Switzerland, Georgian player worsened a little successful assist, this time he assisted to his teammates only once.
After two rounds, Shengelia is top-scorer at this tournament. He scores about 35.5 points in a match, Slovak Rgznar gains 26 points in a match and he is on the second place.
As for whole team, Georgian team won the first quarter with three-point advantage. Georgians could not manage to win only one quarter, the third one. Both teams gained 24-24 points in the third quarter. The fourth quarter was decisive, Georgians beat rival with 8 points.
After two rounds, Georgia and Estonia are leaders of the group.
Today, at 22:00 o’clock (Tbilisi time), Georgians will play against Polish Team.
