Georgian chess player Konstantine Shanava (2539) took the second place at Karen Asrian Memorial which was held in the city of Armenia, Jermuk. He won 2 000 USD.

In the last round, Shanava played draw against host Robert Hovhannisyan (2553) and collected 6.5 points like other 4 chess players. According to the additional data, he took the second place and was half point behind champion Tigran Kontanjian (2517).

It is worth mentioning that Shanava won five games, played three draws and lost one game.

Bachana Morchiashvili (2394) took the 46^th place with 4.0 points. Sopo Gvetadze (2330) took the 48^th place with 4.0 points.
