Shanava Takes The Second Place in Pardubice

Georgian grand master Koka Shanava (2535) gained 7.0 points in 9 rounds, only Dmitry Kononenki (2593) gained more points than he did and became champion of international tournament which was held in the city of Czech Republic, Pardubice.
Shanava competed well at CZECH OPEN 2011 “PARDUBICE OPEN” and finished it without any failure. He won 5 matches and played 4 draws. Besides him Russian Viacheslav Zakhartsov (2578), Hanes Stefanson of Iceland (2546() and Croatian Zoran Jovanovic (2577) gained 7.0 points but Shanava won with additional points.
Two more Georgians competed at this tournament: Davit Arutinyan (2562) who took the 9th place with 6.5 points and Davit Jojua (2505) who took the 55th place with 5.5 points.
