In the eighth round, Shanava beat another host Ashot Nadanian (2426) with black pieces and is in the second place. Shanava will play against Hovhannisyan in the last round. Georgian chess player will play with white pieces. Turov will play against Kotanjian in another central game.
Davit Magalashvili (2469) is in the eighth place with 5.5 points. He beat Russian Irina Turova (2442). Another Russian Mikhail Ulibin (2532) will be the last opponent of Davit.
