Georgian Freestyle Wrestling Team gained three medals at European Championship which was underway in the city of Germany, Dortmund. On march 29 Davit Khutishvili won bronze medal (76 kg) then Vladimir Khinchegashvili (55 kg) and Davit Marsagishvili(84 kg) managed to win silver medals. He got confused, did not know what to do but after another public directives Anzor Urishev was named champion. Georgian side could not manage to change their decision in spite of protest.  Before final Marsagishvili beat Deian Bogdanov of Macedonia, Ibrahim Bulovski of Turkey, Marko Lucas Riesen of Switzerland and Georgita Stefan of Romania.
