After winning the Vandoeuvre tournament in France, Georgian chess player Tornike Sanikidze (2531) went to Zurich to participate in the tournament. Sanikidze was 0.5 point behind winner of the Swiss tournament Igor Kurnosov (2648).
Like the French tournament, Tornike did not lose even one game in Switzerland. Georgian Grand Master celebrated three victories, played 4 draws and earned 5.0 points in 7 rounds. Finally, 13 chess players have the same result. According to the additional data, Tornike took the 9th place.
Sanikidze won blitz-tournament where he collected 8.0 points and was one point ahead of his rivals.
