Georgian Sambo Team wrestled successfully at European Sambo Championship which is underway in the capital of Bulgaria, Sophia. Champions and prize winners were found out in five weight categories from nine. Five Georgians wrestled but only two of them won silver medals. Kakha Mamulashvili (74 kg) and Mindia Bodaveli (90 kg) managed to go through final but could not manage to succeed in decisive fight. Dimitri Mumladze (52 kg), Davit Svimonishvili (62 kg) and Vakhtang Zoidze (+100 kg) stayed beyond top 3.  

Today prize winners and champions will be found out in four weight categories – 57, 68, 82 and 100 weight categories. Ushangi Kozanashvili current European Champion (57 kg), Beka Imerlishvili (68 kg), Nikoloz Kutsia (82 kg) and Mirian Pavliashvili (100 kg) represent Georgia. Last year Kozanashvili wrestled in 52 weight category.
