Today, Georgian national sambo team competes at “President’s Cup of Belarus” in Minsk. Temur Giorgadze presents 13-man team at this tournament. In spite of expended staff, Georgian national team does not have representative in these two following categories: 62 and 100 kg. As for other weight categories, these following sportsmen compete at this tournament: Dimitri Meladze (52 kg), Ushangi Kuzamashvili (57 kg), Levan Nakhutsrishvili, Beka Imerlishvili (both of them 68kg), Giorgi Gasitashvili, Besik Berulava, Kakha Mamulashvili (74 kg), Giorgi Baindurovi, Nikoloz Kutsia (82 kg), Paata Gviniashvili, Giorgi Tsotsiashvili, Davit Karbelashvili (90 kg), Mirian Gonjilashvili (+100 kg).

Georgian national team starts preparation for European championship with competing at Belarusian tournament. According to the final results of Georgian championship Georgian team was staffed in half way. From champions of Georgia, these following sportsmen are not in the main staff for Belarusian tournament: Genadi Chirgadze (52 kg), vakhtang Chidrashvili (57 kg), Shmagi Lagazauri (62 kg), Beka Berdzenishvili (100 kg) and Mirian Pavliashvili (+100kg), but supposedly these following sportsmen and some other candidates will be given chance of showing their possibilities in March at international tournament which is to be held in the capital of Russia, Moscow. Moscow also hosts European championship on May 17-21. Probably Georgian national team will have two preparing meetings.
