Georgian chess club “Samaia” celebrated the third victory and is one of the leaders of The European Club Cup which is underway in the city of Bulgaria, Plovdiv.

 In the third round Georgian team’s opponent was Armenian team “Mika” which was strengthened with Indian Harika, this team till today was unbeaten but this time they could not beat Georgian chess players. Salome Melia drew with Harika. Maia Chiburdanidze beat Elina Danielyan, Nino Khurtidze won over Lilit Mkrtchyan. In the last match Lilis Galoyan beat Bela Khotenashvili playing with white pieces, but it does not effect on final results.
Due to this victory “Samaia” collected 6 points and is on the 2^nd place. AVS is on the second place, which has better additional showings.
In the 4^th round will be held match between Russian and Georgian teams. Bulgarian Antuaneta Stefanova (2551) will represent Russian team, beside her Ukrainian Katherina Lahno (2539) and Maria Muzychuk (2464) and Russian Natalia Pogonina (2491) and Anastasia Savina (2404) are in Russian Team. In the last round AVS beat Jew “Ashdod” (3:1), Serbian BAS (3:1) and Russian “Giprorechtrans” (2.5:1.5). European Championship is held by Swedish system. Seven rounds will be held. 14 clubs are participating in women's tournament.
