Today, on October 1 at 16:30 o’clock was held play-off match of qualifying stage of European championship at Tbilisi water-polo complex “Olympics”. Georgian national team played against Romanian team for being among 12 best European teams but could not manage to win 5:11. It is remarkable that due to injury Marco Eliz and Marino Fanichevic did not help Georgian team. Chomakhidze was the most distinguished among Georgians, he scored two goals. Radu was distinguished among Romanians, he scored three goals.
After the match, Kote Gegelashvili member of Georgian national team stated the following:” Romanian team is more experienced than we are. They all time play in elite-round.  They have very strong centre forwards and today they managed to beat us. We did our best for victory”.  
Vladimer Iseludze head coach of Georgian national team stated the following:” Romanian team is on the 6^th place in the world. They have very strong team and I do not know what we shall do on October 29. If guys followed our instructions, the final score would have been normal. As for injured Eliz and Fanichevic, their future will be defined in two weeks”.  After the match Usila Andrey member of Romanian team gave a little interview.
-    How would you estimate Georgian team and today’s match?
-    Before arrival here we did not know anything about Georgian team. To tell the truth, Georgian players played in the first half very well. They surprised us. I think it is a good team.
-    What about organizing?
-    I liked everything very much, we liked hotel as well as swimming-pool.
-    Which is your favorite team?
-     Serbia.

Responsive match between Georgia and Romania will be held on October 29.
