“Genoa”’ try turned out vain – the club protested the verdict which was made toward Kakha Kaladze. Kaladze has 4-match disqualification and is to pay 5000 EUR.

Captain of Georgian team was sent off in the match against “Lecce”. He received two yellow cards from referee Stefano Gava.

Stefano Kapokuza, representative of “Genoa”, stated that he expected mitigation of the punishment:

“We always respect decisions of referees and disciplinary committees though this time we protested it. Unfortunately, it was in vain. Kaladze was not right but their decision is too strict”.

Kaladze has already missed one match from 4 – against “Juventus”. He will not be able to play against “Roma”, “Fiorentina” and “Inter”. The captain of “Crusaders” will be able to play on November 20. “Genoa” will host “Novara”.
