Pity Failure of Tatishvili

 

Anna Tatishvili made through the main draw of the prestigious international tournament (2 168 400 USD) which is underway in the city of Canada, Montreal. In the first round the Georgian tennis player lost to Ksenia Pervak of Kazakhstan 6:7 (6:8), 6:7 (4:7).

Tatishvili served 4 aces, made 9 double faults, used 5 from 14 break-points and lost her serve five times. The Georgian tennis player earned 30 ranking points for overcoming the qualifying draw. She will advance in the ranking. Anna is in the 79th place in the ranking.

In doubles draw Anna and Andreja Klepac of Slovenia will play against Chuang of Taiwan and Zhang of China. In case of winning the Georgian-Slovenian duet will gain 125 points.

Sofia Kvatsabaia and Ekaterine Gorgodze went through the main draw of Hechingen tournament (Germany, 25 000 USD). No.1 seed Kvatsabaia defeated Verena Schmid of Germany 6:3, 6:3. Anna Zaja did not show up to play against Gorgodze. In the main draw Kvatsabaia will play against Renata Voracova of Czech Republic and Gorgodze – against Julia Mayr of Italy. In doubles draw the Georgians beat Chubarova of Russia and Engelmann of Germany 6:1, 6:0. In ¼ final they will play against Jugic-Salkic of Bosnia and Klemenschits of Austria.

Tamar Chalaganidze lost to Yuuki Tanaka of Japan 1:6, 2:6 in the main draw of Bursa tournament (Turkey, 10 000 USD). In doubles draw Chalaganidze and Joon Smirti of India lost to Bavisetti of India and Pushkareva of Russia 5:7, 1:6. Babilina Machaidze and Nuria Parrizas-Diaz of Spain won over Myakawa of Australia and Kawasaki of Japan 2:6, 6:3, 10:6. In ¼ final they will play against Azerbaijani-Uzbek duet (Farhad-Sharipova).
