Pherselidze Lost to Favorite, though Keeps Chance of Medal

 

In London, at Greco-Roman wrestling championship, in 120 kg weight category, Georgian Olympic Guram Pherselidze started competition in the 1/8 final and started the first period against Andres Valensuelas of Chile 2:0. The second period also continued in favor of Georgian sportsman and finally ended 2:0. In ¼ final Pherselidze wrestled against Mikhain Lopes Nunies of Cuba, four-time champion of world and current Olympic champion. In the first set the Cuban advanced 1:0. In the second set Nunies gained point. Finally, he won and went through semifinal. If Nunies goes through final, Pherselidze will wrestle for bronze medal.
