Perhaps Poland with Bosnia and Herzegovina

Upon the dramatic victory of the Belgium basketball national team over the Polish side, it was clear that Georgian team concluded its 2011 European Qualifying Stage in second spot of Group C. This result can be considered as success.

As it was expected Georgian national team could not qualify because of a worse ball difference compared to the other two groups second placed teams. Now, Georgia will enter the mini-tournament which will be consisted of six teams: worse second placed team of the tournament, all the third placed teams, and the two best fourth placed teams.

It is yet to be published on FIBA’s official website which teams are going to compete in this mini-tournament with our team however if we look back to the past year’s regalement these two teams will Poland along with Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to the last year format, Italy, Ukraine, and Bulgaria will fill the other three team group.

After the two match duel between the two, the best team will conclude the top 16 team list that will compete in the European basketball championship that will be held in Lithuania next year.
