Super League regular championship finished with the match between “Sokhumi” and GTU and the clubs competing in quarter-final of play-off look like in such way:
“Armia” - TSSU, “Kutaisi-2010” - TSU, “Olimpi” - “Dinamo”, “MIA Academy” -“Sokhumi”.
Quarter-final matches last till two victories. On May 3-5 are held matched and if it is necessary on May 7.
As for the match between “Sokhumi” and GTU, as it was expected , “Sokhumi” beat none motivated outsider GTU easily – 93:54 and as a result took the fifth place in regular championship.
It is remarkable that Levan Patsatsia candidate of Georgian national team and forward of “Sokhumi” gained 10 points, 13 assists and 17 rebounds and scored triple double. Sergo Atuashvili, central forward and teammate of Patsatsia scored double double, he scored 17 points and the same amount of rebounds. As for GTU, Zviad Antadze was top-scorer with 17 points.

Vazha Kvaratskhelia (“Sokhumi”): “GTU is a good club, which is staffed with youth players. There are several experienced basketball players in “Sokhumi”. We did well in defense and whole team played well and as a result we achieved success.”
Gia Tetelashvili (head coach of GTU): “We did well in the first circle, but Vasil Beruashvili and Tato Chachibaia who joined TSU and “Sokhumi” were really big loss for us in the second circle. That’s why we did not do well in this following match as well as in the most matches of the second circle. Several rounds before ending regular championship we lost chance of going through the play-off. Central forwards Luka Nozadze and Zurab Machaladze did not play in this match and it caused our failure”.
