In the last rounds, Pantsulaia played draws against Iranians – Puria Darin (2458) and Asghar Golizadeh (2464). Winning over Gaioz Nigalidze in the 10th round turned out decisive for Ghaem.
It is worth mentioning that Nigalidze beat Malkhaz Sulashvili (2441) in the last round. He took the third place with 8.0 points. Sulashvili earned 7.0 points, like Bachana Morchiashvili. He took the 17th place and Bachana – the 16th place.
Another Georgian chess player Shota Azaladze took the 5th place with 8.0 points. 13 Grandmasters participated in the Iranian tournament. Prize money was 40 000 USD.
In the eighth round of Prague Open, Levan Aroshidze (2581) played draw against 11-year-old Indian Abhimanyu Puranik (2006). Georgian chess player collected 5.5 points and is in the 11th place. He is 1.5 points behind Brazilian leader Alexandr Fier (2603). In the last round, Aroshidze will play against Czech Svatopluk Svoboda (2285) with black pieces.
