Paikidze Is Leading Russian Championship


Georgian chess player Nazi Paikidze (2346) is leading Supreme League of the 60th Russian Championship which takes place in the city of Russia, Saint-Petersburg.
Russian Championship is held from August 25 till September 3 and 34 chess players are competing in it. Only two of them are foreigners - Paikidze and Serbian Maria Manakova (2306). Prize money of the tournament is 300 000 RUB.
After 4 rounds only Georgian girl has 100% result. Paikidze defeated Belenkaya (2135), Dogodkina (2102) and already mentioned Manakova and Stepovaya (2375).
In the 5th round she will play with black pieces against Russian chess player Svetlana Matveeva (2379).
