On September 17, European U-20 Judo Championship will be held in the city of Bulgaria, Samokov. On the first day of the tournament, Otar Kaidarashvili (55 kg) won gold medal.
Kaidarashvili beat 3 opponents - Ukrainian Valentin Kopilov, Azerbaijani Elsevar Sadig Zada and Dutch Yanik Kleprot. In the final he defeated Armenian Grigor Ivanyan in the added time.
On the first day, other 2 Georgian judokas wrestled on tatami - Shmagi Lagazaur (60 kg) and Lasha Shavdatuashvili (66 kg). Though, they were beat in the first circle.
Among women Darina Abuladze (48 kg) wrestled for bronze medal but lot.
