Otar Gabelia:"Fear Causes Failure with Every Opponent"

After finishing ballot for qualifying round of Euro-2013 Otar Gabelia head coach of Georgian U-21 National Team stated the following with “World Sport: “It is difficult group. There were easier versions, but we are not going to whine. In the one hand it is good that our rivals are strong, it is more interesting to play against strong opponents, you can learn more.” Gabelia and Levan Ramishvili manager of Georgian U-21 National Team attended ballot.
Spain, Switzerland, Croatia, Georgia and Estonia are stronger than others in V qualifying group. Spain and Switzerland went through final stage of Euro-2011. Croatia took the second place in qualifying round and Estonian National Team is the most undesirable opponent from the fifth seed.
We asked Gabelia about Ivo Susak who was head coach of Georgian National Team and “Dinamo” Tbilisi, he has been appointed as head coach of Croatian U-21 National Team:” We are together, before ballot we were talking what would happen if our teams were seeded in the same seed and it really happened. It was pleasant for both of us that our teams are seeded in the same seed”.
Supposedly Croatia will have strong team, because last year they played at European U-19 Championship and most of players from U-19 team will play in U-21. Switzerland always competes well at U-17, U-19 and at U-21. As for Spanish team, they won European Championship twice (1986, 1998).
In 2009 Georgiana and Spanish national teams were seeded in the same group at European Championship and Spanish team won all the matches against Georgia. Georgian Team lost one home match (1:0) as well as away match (4:0). Peter Segrt was head coach of Georgian Team then.
Main staff of Georgian U-21 National Team is still obscure, but supposedly it will consist of Jano Ananidze, Levan Kenia, Giorgi Chanturia, Levan Mchedlidze, Levan Kakubava, Tornike Okrisshvili, Nika Zalamadze, Giorgi Makaridze, Nika Kvekveskiri, Irakli Shekiladze, Vako Kazaishvili…
