October 2 was very unsuccessful for Georgian boxers at World Boxing Championships, which is underway in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku. Five members of Georgian national team wrestled today, but all of them lost. Severian Chiladze (52 kg) lost with Andrew Selb 7:26 of Wales. Koba Pkhakadze (64 kg) lost with Gaibatula Gajialiev 15:18, Zal Kvachatadze (69 kg) lost with Turkish Onder Sipal – 20:25, Levan Guledani (81 kg) won over American Marcus Brown 1:6 and Mikheil Bakhtadze (heavy weight) won over Croatian Philip Prgovic – 18:3.
On October 3 three Georgian boxers will compete at World Boxing Championships. Avtandil Chubabria (49 kg) will wrestle against Italian Alex Feramosk, Jaba Khositashvili (75 kG) against German Stefan Hartel and Davit Gogiashvili (91 kg) against Julio Castallo of Ecuador.
