Champion “Olimp” beat “Dinamo” in tense match. Lose of “Dinamo” was pity, but it is a football and if all equal match finished with draw, it would not be spectacular. It would be better if there were such matches in Georgian championship.
At the 30 th minute Davt Bolkvadze(“Olimp”) kicked standard penalty, defender Giorgi Rekhviashvili with one touch kicked the ball to the nearest corner of the goal.
At the 65 th minute at the corner flag Robertinho (“Dinamo”) and Revaz Getsadze (“Olipm”) had some dispute. From press box was noticeable that at first Brazilian played cruel, then Getsadze reacted and Robertinho felt down. Referee Tornike Gvantseladze showed yellow cards both of football players. To my mind, if referee showed red cards both of them there was less protests. But I cannot say it resolutely, if Brazilian did not simulate, Getsadze deserved red card and referee made a mistake in such case.
Head coach Kacharava and director of “Dinamo” Buba Tkavadze showed protest due to this fact after the match. In the first half one minute before the goal, when Beriashvili (“Olimp”) kicked, defender of “Dinamo” Gvantseladze touched the ball with hand but referee did not set penalty. This fact assures that referee was not for “Olimp”, in other way he would use this chance and set penalty.
Before the goal, “Dinamo” owned ball and at the end of the half midfielder Ednilson was changed due to injury, it is quite big lose for Kacharava team. Ednilson is without alternative in his position. Before the rest both of the teams had chance of scoring. Goalkeeper Loria parried Kvakhadze’s kick and in two minutes Grigol Bediashvili after many difficulties managed to parry Kashia’s strong kick.
“Dinamo” had advantages in the second half. Donald Juis had chance to score but defender Lasha Jafaridze parried the ball with head from the goal line. Guests were growing influence time by time. Makharadze made very rare change: defender Revaz Kemoklidze was changed by forward Irakli Modebadze. It was happened when Makharadze’s club was winning... Modebadze took Bolkvadze’s position and Bolkvadze played as midfielder.
This change justified hopes, because “Dinamo” could not play attack football any more and “Olimp” had more chances of scoring. Loria parried Kvakhadze’s strong kicks twice. The best chance of scoring was when Beriashvili assisted to Chedia, he did not dare to kick with left leg and assisted the ball to Luka Razmadze, who kicked the ball strongly but goalkeeper Loria did his best and parried the ball.
None of footballers were distinguished. But Rekhviashvili should be distinguished, this young midfielder scored decisive goals again…
After the match
Kakha Kacharav: “It was tense match. We had more advantages than our opponent in the second half. As for referee, judge it yourselves. Referee showed yellow card to Getsadze. Why he did so? He saw commit the foul and if he really did, he had to show red card”.
Temur Makharadze: “We knew that it would be tense match. I instructed my football players to play with defensive tactic. In the first time we had advantages and started playing in defense. Kemoklidze got tired and that’s why I changed him. Bolkvadze replaced him and this change justified hopes”.
