"Olimpi" Won Over "Sioni"

In fact, the match ended at the beginning of the second half because it was clear that “Sioni” could not score two goals. The left minutes were very slow and uninteresting. Finally, “Olimpi” celebrated victory and as for “Sioni”, the situation did not become worse very much.

Tornike Maisuardze a head coach of “Olimpi” had debut, his players started a match actively and scored at the beginning of the first half. At the 13rd minutes Revaz Getsadze performed corner kick, a goalkeeper Mindia Bobghiashvili could not goal keep, Giorgi Kavtaradze was near rhe goal, he kicked a head and scored. Getsadze was the most active, in some minutes after scoring he kicked the ball in direction to goal, but his target was a bit wrong. At the 23rd minutes “Sioni” tried to attack, Mikheil Bobokhidze kicked and the ball touched the goalposts.

Evidently “Olimpi” was playing better than its rival, but in spite of this “Sioni” managed to score at the 27th minutes, “Bobokhidze made “Lasha Japaridze break rules and as a result was set penalty kick. Bobokhidze performed penalty kick well – 1:1. The match continued with hosts’ advantages. The fists half was to end calmly, but it is really strange why Giorgi Okropiridze made referee show yellow card… he had already one yellow card and at the 44th minutes, he stood in front of player and did not let him perform free kick. Levan Kvaratskhelia a referee showed him the second yellow card. How this fact can be estimated? Okropiridze cannot be justified in such case.

After interval, “Olimpi” scored the second goal soon and the intrigue of the match disappeared. Kavtaradze was distinguished, at the 49th minutes he assisted to Irakli Modebadze who was face to face to goalkeeper, but in spite of perfect conditions the best forward of “Olimpi” could not score.

As for goals – at the 53rd minutes Davit Bolkvadze scored with short distance. After some minutes Vaja Koridze a defender of “Sioni” made Temur Ghonghadze fall down in penalty area and as a result was set penalty area. Luka Razmadze performed penalty kick and scored – 3:1.

“Sioni” did not try else to score or to attack.  The only distinguished moment was when Bobghiashvili parried out Kvaskhadze’s kick to corner kick, but Giorgi Chelidze tried to kick the ball but in vein.
Totally, in spite of 4 goals, this match was not spectacular.

After the match:
Giorgi Kipiani:“I congratulate victory to our rival. Now I want to say about referees, when there was shown penalty against “Olimpi”, host player had to be shown yellow card, but this player had already shown yellow card and in such case he would leave the stadium. But out player was shown the second yellow card.  Georgian championship will have regress due to such umpiring”.

Tornike Maisuradze:“I am satisfied with each of the players. The first half was tense, then the match was under our control and gained very important three points. Since that time club was playing 4-3-3 scheme and today we have chosen 4-4-2. To my mind this scheme is better for us.”
