International Judo Federation has published new ranking, nothing important is changed for Georgian judokas in it. Davit Asumbani and Aleksandre Maskhaladze have the most distinguished changes in personal ranking. Points gained at Paris Grand Slam 2011 were annulled for Asumbani and as a result he has 37-place regress in world ranking. But this regress is not disaster because Asumbani wrestles in 66 kg weight category now, while he was competing in 60 kg weight category before. As for Mskhaladze, till the previous week he had two rankings with different names. After providing information to International Judo Federation about the fact that Aleksandre and Soso Mskhaladze is the same person, his points were summed up and as a result in 100 kg weight category Mskhaladze is in the 55th place instead of 66th.
Amiran Papinashvili (60 kg) who has the highest ranking points in Georgian national judo team advanced with 6 places after gaining bronze medal at Paris Grand Slam.
The most hopeless situation for Georgian is again in 66kg weight category, where Shalva Kardava keeps the 47th place. Varlam Liparteliani (90 kg), Levan Zhorzholiani, Irakli Tsirekidze (both of them 100 kg) and Zviad Khanjaleishvili (+100 kg) retreated with one place.
