Nino Salukvadze will Bear Georgian Flag at London Olympics

Georgian shooter Nino Salukvadze will be standard-bearer of Georgian delegation at London 2012 Olympic Games. Gia Natsvlishvili president of Georgian National Olympic Committee told the following information to journalists at the press-conference today. Natshvlishvili as well as Salukvadze took part in this press-conference. They summarized World Cup, which was held in Sidney several days ago. At this tournament Georgian shooter managed to win the seventh Olympic license in a row.
“Nino is active sportsman and she still does her best. We can call her Georgian legendary sportsman. She participated in Olympic Games six times and managed to win three of the medals. She was the first Georgian sportsman who won the license of London 2012 Olympic Games.  I am sure she will succeed in London too. She has real opportunity for this. Several days ago President of Croatian Olympic Committee visited us and when he heard about Nino, could not hide surprise and inspiration. As for standard-bearer of Georgian delegation, before getting license we had already made such decision and the fact that she is on the first place of this list is symbolic”.

As for Nino Salukvadze she said frankly that she was not expecting winning World Cup. As she said she was thinking about gaining license more than becoming champion. She succeeded on expanse of determination. She thanked Olympic committee for giving chance being standard-bearer of Georgian delegation at Olympic Games, which is big responsibility for her.

After finishing press-conference Salukvadze wrote down her name and surname on the first line of the board for Georgian sportsmen who will compete at London 2012 Olympic Games.
