Georgian national basketball team is in the capital of Latvia, Riga, where the team is preparing for EuroBasket. Tomorrow, Georgians will play against the host team at 20:00 Tbilisi time.

The players of Igor Kokoshkov held the last test match at Tbilisi Sports Palace and beat Israel 97:91. Latvians coached by Ainars Bagatskis visited Lithuania and lost 75:95.

Marijonas Petravicius became hero of that match. He scored 16 penalties from 18 and earned 26 points. Janis Blums (21) and Janis Strelnieks showed themselves from Latvian team.

Bagatskis called up 13 basketball players: Dairis Bertans (7), Freimanis (6), Blums (21), Jurevicus, Kuksiks (2), Jeromanovs (2), Vairogs, Strelnieks (16), Berzins (6), Selakovs (4), Blaus (5), Dairis Bertans (3), Meyers (2).

As for Georgian team, Kokoshkov chose 12 basketball players for EuroBasket.

Point Guard: Giorgi Tsintsadze, Giorgi Gamkrelidze.

Shooting guard: Lasha Pargalava and Marquez Haynes.
Shooting small forward: Manuchar Markoishvili.
Small forward: Anatoli Boisa.
Forward: Tornike Shengelia.
Small-power forward: Viktor Sanikidze, Nika Tskitishvili.
Power forward: Vladimir Boisa.
Center: Zaza Pachulia, Giorgi Shermadini.
As for a reserve player, it is central forward Giorgi Sharabidze (“Army”).

On August 24, at 20:00 Latvia and Georgia will play for the second time in Riga. After that, Georgian national team will leave for Vilnius and will hold a friendly match against Lithuanian team on August 27. On August 28-30, the players of Kokoshkov will hold the last training meeting in Klaipeda. On August 31, they will play against Belgians in the first match of EuroBasket.
