Georgian judo team left for Japan yesterday. The team of Peter Seisenbacher will hold 23-day meeting in homeland of judo. Austrian specialist announced the staff for Japan3 weeks ago but when their plans changed it was said that the list would have been written down over again.
Seisenbacher reduced the list to 10. The following judokas will participate in Japanese meeting: Amiran Papinashvili, Betkil Shukvani (both 60 kg), Shalva Kardava, Davit Asumbani (66 kg), Nugzar Tatalashvili, Tengiz Paposhvili (73 kg), Avtandil Chrikishvili (81 kg), Varlam Liparteliani (90 kg), Lomer Zhorzholiani (100 kg), Lasha Gujejiani (+100 kg).
Seisenbacher removed the following sportsmen from the list: Ambako Avaliani (73 kg), Levan Tsiklauri, Giorgi Baindurashvili (81 kg), Zviad Khanjaliashvili and Adam Okruashvili (+100 kg). The main surprise is return of Lasha Gujejiani in the team.
Georgian judokas, along with Japanese team, will prepare for the tournament at the Tokyo Olympic preparation center.
