New Points after Paris

 

International Judo Federation estimated results of World Individual Championship and published a new ranking list. Only Irakli Tsirekidze (100 kg) from Georgian judokas managed to get in top 3 of World Championship. Of course, he advanced in the ranking. After gaining 200 points for bronze medal, Tsirekidze took the 21st place.

14 Georgians wrestled on the Paris tatami. Besides Irakli Tsirekidze, Levan Zhorzholiani (100 kg) managed to wrestle in ¼ final. He earned 80 rating points and advanced with 4 places – he is in the 16th place now.

Avtandil Chrikishvili (81 kg) and Adam Okruashvili (+100 kg) earned 60-60 points. Chrikishvili is in the 27th place. Tsiklauri is in the 31st place with 316 points.

Adam Okruashvili is 42 points and 2 places behind Zviad Khanjaliashvili. Khanjaliashvili is in the 29th place and Okruashvili – in the 31st place.

Amiran Papinashvili (60 kg) has the best rating among Georgian judokas. He has 756 points and is in the 7th place. Another Georgian Varlam Liparteliani (90 kg) is in the 10th place.

66 and 73 kg were unsuccessful for Georgian judo. Shalva Kardava (66 kg) is in the 37th place. Nugzar Tatalashvili (73 kg) is in the 33rd place. Zaza Kedelashvili (66 kg) amd Davot Kevkhishvili (73 kg) are not in the ranking anymore.

As for foreigner leaders, those judokas who were leaders before World Championship still head their weight classes – Uzbek Rishod Sobirov (60 kg), South Korean Jae-Bum Kim (81 kg), Greek Ilias Iliadis (90 kg), Japanese Takamasa Anai (100 kg) and French Teddy Riner (+100 kg).

After unsuccessful competition of Mongolian Tsagaanbaatar Khashbaataryn (66 kg), Japanese Junpei Morishita and Russian Musa Mogushkov are ahead of him. South Korean Chun Wang, former leader of 73 kg, is behind Japanese Riki Nakaya.
