According to the information of Moldovan Futsal Association, UEFA recognized Moldovan team, instead of Georgian one, as a winner of Group A of World Cup first qualifying round. Moldovans are through the next round. According to the Moldovans, UEFA sent a confirmation letter to Moldovan Association. Though, the web site of UEFA does not inform about it.

Georgian and Moldovan teams earned equal points in the qualifying round which was held in Tbilisi. They played 2:2 in the last round. According to the decision of UEFA delegates, the teams played penalty shootout (Georgians won it). Moldovans protested the result and used the point of the regulation which says the team with better ranking wins (Moldovans had better ranking).

According to the Moldovans, Georgian Futsal Association has 72 hours for appealing against the decision of UEFA. In other case, Moldova will go through the second qualifying round and will play against Slovenia, Serbia and Israel in the third group.
