Salome Melia (2396) is the fifth member of Georgian women’s chess team. She beat Nino Batsiashvili (2413) with black pieces in the last game of mini tournament. Salome earned 2.4 points in four rounds.

Melia was half point ahead of Maka Purtseladze (2353). Batsiashvili took the third place with 1.5 points.

Georgian chess players are preparing for European Team Championship which will be held in the city of Greece, Porto Carras on November 2-12. Nana Dzagnidze (2525), Lela Javakhishvili (2464), Nino Khurtsidze (2440) and Nazi Paikidze (2412) will be teammates of Melia.
