Georgian youth judo team will end up World Championship with 4 bronze medals. Heavyweighter Levan Matiashvili can show the same result like Giorgi Mesablishvili (55 kg), Lasha Shavdatuashvili (66 kg) and Beka Gviniashvili (81 kg) did. He must win two matches in repechage. Sven Heinle of Germany will be his first opponent.

Matiashvili lost in ¼ final. Other three Georgian judokas wrestled on tatami today. Guram Tishishvili, Davit Merabishvili (both 100 kg) and Ushangi Kokauri (+100 kg) lost in the first rounds.
