As far as you know European Youth Festival 2015 is to be held in Tbilisi.  In 2010 general assembly of European Olympic Committee as a result of anonymous ballot made decision that from 49countries Georgia would host this tournament.
On June 23 Olympic week which is celebrated in all over the world started in Georgia. In support of Organizational committee of “Tbilisi-2015”, Tbilisi Hall, Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and Olympic Committee was held presentation of new logo and slogan (Step to the future). 500 children made imitation of new logo of “Tbilisi 2015” with five colored balloons (red, yellow, green, blue and black).
Gigi Ugulaba mayor of Tbilisi and Gia Natsvlishvili president of Georgian national Olympic Committee made statements and then represented honored ambassadors of festival, Olympic champions- Davit Gobejishvili, Giorgi Asanidze, Rafael Chimishkyan, Robert Shavlakadze, Vazha Kacharava, Mzia Jugeli, Manuchar Kvirvkvelia, Ketevan Losaberidze, Kakhi Kakhiashvili, Davit Khakhaleishvili, Roman Rurua. Later “Duet Georgia” performed the anthem of festival. At the end of the presentation was held marathon from Rose Square to Freedom Square. Representatives of 9 kinds of sport federations competed in this marathon, they were awarded with presents and t-shorts of “Tbilisi 2015”.
Gigi Ugulava (Mayor of Tbilisi): “First of all I would like to mention that it is great honor and responsibility to host European Youth Festival. Preparation has already been started and everything is going on OK, it increases professionalism of our sportsmen, it settles new healthy lifestyle and will help to develop tourism. But we will not satisfy only with participation and we will fight for victory”.
Gia Natsvlishvili (president of Georgian national Olympic committee): “To my mind, contest for “Tbilisi 2015” was interesting and was chosen the best logo. Today was held the first massive event and in fact European Youth Festival 2015 started, I would like to congratulate it to each citizen of Georgia”.
Archil Gegenava (Director of “Tbilisi 2015”): “The key point is to inform citizens of Tbilisi, what means hosting of ‘Tbilisi 2015”. It means more than four thousands participants and more than 15people who will accompany them, after this tournament, our capital can host any type and any level of event”.
Revaz Chomakhidze (general coordinator of orgcomitee): “European Youth Festival 2015 is one of the important tournaments which is held in Georgia. 4500 participants will host Georgia, which will be a good stimulus for young people and it will play important role in their development”.
