Young Greco-Romans will wrestle on the last two days of European Junior Wrestling Championship. Champions and prize winners were found out in 4 weight classes and 3 members of Georgian team stood on the pedestal.
Only Nika Tsetskhladze (50 kg) wrestled in the final. Before this match, Georgian wrestler beat Serbian Danijel Spoljaric and Armenian Rudik Mkrtchyan but in the final lost against Azerbaijani Vilayat Gahramanli.
Zurab Datunashvili (74 kg) and Sandro Dikhaminjia (96 kg) won bronze medals. Datunashvili beat Polish Lukasz Charzewski, Czech Oldrich Varga and Moldovan Igor Besleaga. He lost chance of winning gold-silver medals against Russian Islam Charaev. In repechage final, Datunashvili won over Hungarian Patrik Szabo. Dikhaminjia started participation from 1/8 final. He beat Slovenian Tilen Peserl and Russian Zelimkhan Belkharoev but lost against Armenian Artur Aleksanyan. In repechage final, Dikhaminjia easily won over Norwegian Marthin Hamlet Nielsen.
Only Gogita Gogiberashvili (60 kg) was left without medal. He took the fifth place. He beat Ukrainian Dmytro Tsymbalink, Norwegian Petter Karlsen and Moldovan Maxim Mamulat.
On the last day of European Championship – on June 26, champions will be found out in last 4 weight classes. Tornike Totikashvili (55 kg), Sachino Davitaia (66 kg), Davit Chakvetadze (84 kg) and Sergo Gogisvanidze (120 kg) will wrestle in the name of Georgia.
