Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs named Mamuka Gorgodze as the best sportsman of Georgia in 2011. Freestyle wrestler Vladimer Khinchegashvili became the best young sportsman. The best team – Georgian national basketball team.

The ceremony of the season estimation is underway at hotel “Radisson”. Besides the sportsman and the team, the ministry named winners in several nominations. 10-10 young and older sportsmen, 3-3 referees and managers were named.

Managers of different sports federations, veteran and current sportsmen, representatives of government and media attended the awarding ceremony.
