Georgia has a new champion – Women’s 68th Chess Championship hosted by Anaklia ended up with the victory of Lomineishvili (Salome Melia won the previous championship). Lomineishvili collected the same points as Bela Khotenashvili but Maia had better additional data and she became champion.
In the last 13th round, former bronze medal winner Lomineishvili held a very serious match against former prize winner Nino Khurtsidze. Maia played draw and kept the leadership with 8,5 points.
