"Ligamus" Tbilisi could not go through the 1/8 final of LEN Trophy. But the team managed to win one match against the strongest opponents.
In the city of Montenegro, Kotor, Georgian waterpolo players played against the host and current champion of the tournament "Cattaro". After two quarters they were losing only with one ball but in the end, they were beat 7:13.
Match against Greek "Panionios" was held hopelessly. Later, "Panionios" beat favorite "Cattaro" and became champion of Group E. Greek team won over "Ligamus" 16:6.
In the last match, Georgian team played against "Iuzme" Istanbul. Before that "Iuzme" played draw against "Cattaro" (8:8). Before the last quarter Georgians were winning 10:6. In spite of that, they did not look well in the last minutes, they managed to keep advantage - 11:10.
Revaz Chomakhidze and Zurab Rurua played better than other players of "Ligamus". They scored 6 times. "Panionios" and "Cattaro" went through the 1/8 final of LEN Trophy 2010.
