Levan Korghalidze returned to Moldova and signed one year contract with “Zimbru” Chisinau. This contract is with perspective of one more year, 1+1.

31-year-old Georgian midfielder played for Moldovan “Dacia” and became champion of the country, though after losing to “Zestafoni” in the qualifying round of Champions League, Korghalidze left “Dacia” (with Davit Gamezardashvili) and was without club. Korghalidze was named as the best football player of the previous season in Moldovan Championship.

There were talks about his transfer to “Dinamo” – he even trained in the team of Alex Garcia but nothing came out of it.

“Zimbru” has 28 points after 17 rounds and is in the third place. This is a maximum of this club because “Sheriff” and “Dacia” are leading the tournament. New club of Korghalidze is 13 points behind of the second placed team.

Career of Levan: in Georgia, he played for “Guria”, “Dinamo-2” and “Arsenal” Tbilisi. In 1999-2005, he was in “Skonto” Riga, then “Torpedo” Kutaisi, “Sioni” Bolnisi, “Zestafoni”, Latvian “Dinaburg” and “Dacia”.
