German Derwesten made a good report about Levan Kenia. It is not known where this talented midfielder will continue his career – he mentioned in an interview with “World Sport” that there are some offers though real and favorite club has not showed up yet.

This summer must be decisive in career of Levan. He is leaving the club where he was taken with big hopes. No one could have left him go so easily if not… his injury – 3 surgeries on ankle, obstinacy of Felix Magath, starting trainings early…

Derwesten cites the words of current coach of “Schalke” – Huub Stevens:

“It was very difficult to say the boy that only his desire was not enough. He wanted to prove his possibilities in “Schalke” but he could not suit our demands. So, we made a decision not to extend contract with Levan.

Levan does not blame “Schalke” but he is offended with former coach of “Schalke”.

“It is a bad memory what Felix did to me. At the beginning of 2011, we held meeting in Belek. My ankles looked terrible and Magath did not listen to doctor. I told the coach it hurt so bad but I do not know… perhaps, he thought that I lied”.

Levan talks about his first days in “Schalke”:

“Everything started well. After the first matches, I thought here would have started the most interesting period for me and I would have stayed for a long time. Though, I missed two years and 5 months. I could not have imagined it”.

Here is what coach of “Schalke II” says – Manfred Dubski. As you know, Kenia played for reserve team of “Schalke” in the last period.

“I would have let him play for my team. He is a brilliant person and has all characters of great football player. But I understand that he wants to play on professional level”.

According to German law, legionaries do not have a right to play for reserve teams of Bundesliga. So, if you are a legionary, you must have a professional contract.

“I was disappointed when only three fans were on tribunes in “Schalke II”. I played for the main team, in front of crowded tribunes”, - states Levan.

Though, talent was grown up in Didube is optimist and knows that everything bad is past.

“It was difficult to overcome hard times. I was not motivated every day. I often thought about ending up career. It is not the same now. I must go where I can play. I need playing practice and confidence. I cannot say that I will be on good form at the beginning but I must show my playing in several months”.

Levan knows that leaving “Schalke” is not a progress but…

“I got used to it. You cannot always win in your life. I hope, I will play for other 10-15 years. I want to return here one fine day… to play on the best stadium of Europe”.
