Let's Wait for Executive Commitee

According to the regulations of executive committee, “Zestafoni” is a champion. According to the letter which was sent to clubs on March 15 (this letter was not confirmed by the executive committee), “Metallurg” is in the first place. Both teams are celebrating the championship. It is a unique situation and that is why, the executive committee will hold a congress at Georgian Football Federation on May 21 at 12:00. What will it decide? It is obvious that there were made some mistakes in the regulations.

The executive committee states that in case of equal points, number of victories will be priority. It is not written “among 8 teams” or “in playoff”.

Official website of UEFA wrote “Zestafoni” at the top of the schedule. Though, representative of the federation stated that it does not mean anything – perhaps, they do not know the regulations. It was said before the last round. It is obvious that “Metallurg” will be declared as a winner. “Zestafoni” will not get used to it and perhaps, UEFA will discuss this case.

If “Metallurg” becomes champion, “Dila” Gori must win final of trophy on May 26 – to compete in European tournaments. If “Zestafoni” wins, then “Dila” will automatically participate in European tournaments.

Championship of “Metallurg” is good for “Dinamo” Tbilisi. It is the only chance for “Dinamo” to play in the qualifying round of Europa League.
