Larry Blair 28-year-old American basketball player of “MIA Academy gained 24 points in the eighth round of the second circle of Basketball Super League and again was named as the player of the round. Larry’s average result is – 27.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.5. assists, he is the player of the season not only the round. Besides being a good basketball player he turned out a good speaker and a pleasant person.
- You are again named as the tour’s best player…
- This fact makes me happy, but basketball is team game and that’s why my personal achievement is team’s achievement also. In addition I always think about the team and I am very happy that I can play.
- What about teammates and the coaches?
- I have very good teammates. We are one team and do not differ each other due to color of skin, religion and some other things. We listen to coaches very attentively during training and try to do our best.
- What about level of Georgian basketball?
- You have a lot of young, talented and prospected basketball players. Unfortunately, I do not know their names, that’s why I will not say their concrete names, but I would distinguish Giorgi Nikoladze- captain of my team.
- How do you think besides “Armia”, which team is the strongest in this championship?
- A lot of strong tams compete in Super League, among them are “Kutaisi” and “Olimpi”, but I hope that after “Armia” my team will be the strongest, because we are really good team and I believe that we will have big achievements.
- Due to committing club’s regulation (due to sickness he missed the training and did not inform authority of the club about it) authority of the club fined you. Do you agree with this decision?
- I do not differ from other players, so these rules are the same for us. To my mind it was a right decision. This accident has been already forgotten and now everything is all right.
- Why did you choose basketball?
- Because I love it very much. In addition, all my family- my father, my uncle, my sisters and relatives are basketball players. I am very active person, cannot stay at one place for a long time and basketball is the best kind of sport to spend your energy.
- Where would you like to play?
- In some leading club of Europe, but I want to realize maximum of my possibilities and I would like to play where I will manage it. Generally, when I do something I do my best, especially in basketball. So, wherever I finish my career I will be satisfied.
- Have you played abroad and which country did you like most of all?
- I used to play in Hungary, Finland and France. I felt very comfortable in Hungary, because I was living very close to Budapest, where is American restaurant and good club. Besides this, a lot of Americans used to gather in Budapest’s clubs and I had very active night life. I spent time in France well too, because I was living in south where was good weather most time. It never snowed there, beach was located 10 minutes away. Seafood dishes were very pleasant to eat. In Finland it was very cold and it often snowed, but I liked living there too. Generally I try to look at everything positivly. In addition I think that I am lucky person, do my favorite job, have a good family and friends.
- What about Georgia?
- You country differs from my homeland very much, but in spite of this I did not across any problems in adaptation. Furthermore, when teammates and people welcomed me. To my mind wherever you go, you should respect culture of this country, in other way it will be difficult for you. Besides this, I like traveling because I gain a lot of experience.
- Have you visited any sightseeing here?
- Almost every day, while going to training I look at presidential palace. Before leaving for US, I want to visit zoo and circus. Once I was at the cinema too- “Sherloc Holmes”. Unfortunately it was translated in Russian and I did not understand anything, it was a good film and enjoyed only with watching.
- What is your favorite sport, besides basketball?
- I like sport, but I would distinguish American soccer from football and rugby. I would like to remark that I like you rugby national team very much, it is staffed with great guys. I watched the match between Georgia-Russia, which ended in favor of Georgia. By the way, after the match I met Russian rugby players at the airport and they were very disappointed.
- What kind of sport would you chose if you did not become a basketball player?
- As I have already mentioned I like soccer. At school I had a friend from Jamaica, who was good at rolling the ball and I also used to join him. But I think that I would not succeed in soccer. I would go in for Baseball and American soccer, because I am good at running and shooting the ball.
- Who are your favorite players?
- Yes, my favorite player is Kobi Bryant, because he is a very hardworking and determined person. In American soccer I would like to distinguish Peyton Man- he can read the game and does his best to be the best. I respect the players who have serious attitude towards their job and try to be the bests.
- What do you do at free time?
- I talk to my family members through Skype and Facebook. When I have a free time I like cooking and tasting some dishes.
- What is your favorite dish?
- Pizza, stake, salad-“ Tsezar”, roasted chicken. I also like fruits, vegetables and healthy food. From Georgian dishes I like “Lobio” (beans).
- Who is your favorite actor?
- I like Samuel L.Jackson and Denzel Washington, because they act well in every genre. Most of all I like comedy films. As for singers, I like Witney Hiuston and Mary J. Blige. As for songs, I like – Think Like a Man by Jennifer Hudson and Ne-yo. In my opinion, people think that I am rude person and my taste will surprise them.
- And what are you really?
- I am quite call, even-tempered and try to enjoy life.
- Do you often entertain with your friends?
- Not very often, because we train every day. Sometimes twice a day, that why we entertain on Saturdays. Several basketball players gather and spend time together with great pleasure. On Sundays we rest and prepare for Mondays.
- Who is your close friend from “MIA Academy”?
- I have close relations with Tracy Smith, because we are roommates.
-   Are you reading any book now?
- Now, I am not. But I read a lot of interesting articles in Yahoo and learn what is happening in the world. As a rule, it happens after the second training, because after morning training I have dinner and sleep. I have a lot of free time and reading books is a really good idea.
- What do you want to read?

- Biographical book by Jerry West legendary American player of Los-Angeles Lakers.
