After defeating Ibrahim Abdelhakim Mohamed of Egypt and Radoslav Marinov Velikov of Bulgaria, Lado Khinchegashvili (55kg) wrestled against 18-year-old Amit Kumar of India in ¼ final. Lado won over the Indian in two sets. In semifinal the Georgian wrestled against Shinichi Yumoto of Japan. The Georgian gained point at the end of the first period and advanced 1:0. Yumoto won the second period 4:0. In the third period Lado earned point and gained advantage. In final Khinchegashvili will wrestle against Dzhamal Otarsultanov of Russia.
