Two Georgian tennis players will play in ¼ final of Batumi tournament (Georgia, 15 000 USD). No.2 seed Sofia Kvatsabaia and No.6 seed Ekaterine Gorgodze achieved this success.

Kvatsabaia won over Viktoriya Lushkova of Ukraine 6:1, 6:1 and in ¼ final she will play against No.7 seed Anna Shkudun of Ukraine. Gorgodze will play against No.1 seed Yuliya Kalabina of Russia. Before that, Gorgodze beat Sofico Kadzhaya of Ukraine 6:4, 4:6, 6:4.

Other two Georgian tennis players played in 1/8 final but Ukrainian girls defeated them. Natia Gegia lost to Olga Ianchuk (No.5 seed) 6:3, 1:0 (the Georgian retired) and Margalita Chichashvili – to Elizaveta Ianchuk (No.3 seed) 6:0, 6:2.

In ¼ final of doubles draw No.1 seed duet of Gorgodze and Kvatsabaia won over Ani Gogvadze and Ekaterina Tsiklauri (Russia) 6:3, 6:4. In semifinal they will play against Russians – Kalabina and Pashkova (No.3 seed). Mariam Bolkvadze and Barbare Eristavi lost to Ukrainian tandem (Fomina-Shkudun, No.4 seed) 1:6, 1:6.
