Krstic through a seat instead of a ball the Acropolis tournament match between Greece and Serbia could not be finished because of a huge fight that erupted between the two teams.
The score was 74:73 with Greece in the lead, while clock was showing 2 minutes 40 seconds until the end of the game when Milos Teodosic fouled on Antonis Fotsinis. Greek went on to tackle the Serbian. Novica Velickov “organized” a back-up for his teammate by punching Fotsinis in the face. This provoked a massive fight on the floor. Ianis Berusis suffered the most after Nenad Krstic threw a seat on him which broke his head.
27-year-old Krstic was trying to block from, physically Sophocles alike, Shortsianiti’s punch but missed the target and broke Berusis’s head.
Of course the game could not be continued on. “Oklahoma City” member was sent to the police department, where the case of “Violation of Sport Law Abolishment” was processed against him. The Serbian has left the department soon however nobody knows how this one will end.
Until this fight would happen, Serbia national team coach Dushan Ivkovich had to leave the bench since the match referees awarded two technical fouls to him.
