31-year-old sumo wrestler Levan Tsaguria who is known as Kokai ended up career. The first European Sekitor has already sent statement to Japanese Sumo Association.
Debut of Kokai was held in May 2001, after two years when he became European champion in freestyle wrestling among juniors. In May 2003 Levan held the first fight in the second dzurio division. In January 2004 he wrestled in Makuuchi.
Six years ago “Black Sea” had a title of Komusubi. Kokai has won 446 times. In Makuuchi he has held 45 super tournaments for seven years and half. He has gained “Gold Star” twice for beating Iokodzuna Asashoryu. Kokai was awarded with special prize Kanto-Shoti twice.
Kokai has to end up career due to injuries. Levan Tsaguria has injured axis. Besides that, his elbows, shoulders and knees hurt. The Georgian sumo wrestler is going to return to his homeland.
