Kobiashvili Faces Court and Disqualification

German referee Wolfgang Stark states that after the match between “Fortuna” and “Hertha” Berlin in Dusseldorf, Georgian football player Levan Kobiashvili physically assaulted him. German internet-edition bz-berlin.de spreads this information.

It is a serious accusation and that is why there is a big chance that the case of “Hertha” might be discussed in the court. Dusseldorf police spokesman Andreas Schogalla confirmed that football players of “Hertha” used physical strength. The spokesman did not name those football players but perhaps, Kobiashvili is one of them.

According to bz-berlin, after the end of the mentioned match, there was noise in the dressing room. According to witnesses, Kobiashvili and Andre Mijatovic insulted Stark. Then, Kobiashvili could not control himself and hit the referee in the neck several times.

If this information is confirmed, Kobiashvili will face a disqualification for a long time and perhaps, he will have to show up in the court.

Besides the Georgian, three other players of “Hertha” – Thomas Kraft, Christian Lell and Andre Mijatovic also face punishment. It is not excluded that perhaps, Andreas Lambertz, one of the leaders of “Fortuna”, might be punished. The court will be held next week.

Otto Rehhagel resigned from the position of head coach of “Hertha”. Jos Luhukay, former head coach of “Augsburg”, will coach “Hertha” from the next season.
