Khurtsidze Is not in the Last Place Anymore

 

Georgian chess player Nino Khurtsidze (2456) celebrated the second victory at FIDE Grand Prix and finally, she is not in the last place. Khurtsidze won over Batkhuyag Munguntuul of Mongolia (2447) with white pieces in the 10th round of Jermuk tournament which is underway in Armenia. Khurtsidze has 3.5 points.

Georgian chess player has better additional data than Ekaterina Kovalevskaya of Russia (2417) and Munguntuul and is in the 10th place. In the last place Nino will play against Lilit Mkrtchian of Armenia (2450).

Yifan Hou of China (2617) is the main favorite. She has 7.0 points and is one point ahead of her compatriots Wenjun Ju (2518) and Lufei Ruan (2483).

Jermuk is the 5thstage. Six stages are planned. Chess player with the best result will be declared as a winner.
Champion will earn 160 points. Other points will be distributed this way: II – 130, III – 110, IV – 90, V – 80, VI – 70, VII – 60, VIII – 50, IX – 40, X – 30, XI – 20, XII – 10.
