Khotenashvili - the First among Women

 

Georgian Bela Khotenashvili (2440) collected 6.0 points within 9 rounds at 27e Open International de Cappelle-la-Grande which was held in France. Khotenashvili took the 1st place among women and took the 58th place at the tournament.

Levan Pantsulaia (2610) and Davit Arutinyan (2578) competed better than other Georgian representatives. They shared the 5th-31st places with 6.5 points. According to the additional data, Pantsulaia took the 15th place and Arutinyan took the 25th place.

Other Georgians showed the following results: 61. Tornike Sanikidze (2559) – 6.0 points; 77. Davit Jojua (2515) – 5.5; 84. Nino Batsiashvili (2396) – 5.5; 112. Malkhaz Sulashvili (2497) – 5.5;

Polish grand master Grzegorz Gajewski (2569) won French tournament. He collected 7.5 points. Evgeny Sharapov (Ukraine, 2468), Alexander Ipatov (Spain, 2512) and Yuri Vovk (Ukraine, 2539) shared the 2nd-4th places with 7 points.
